Our seasonal tree just got a sweet little Easter makeover, and we had so much fun creating these colorful egg-shaped ornaments! This DIY craft is a perfect springtime activity and a great way to add a handmade touch to your holiday decorations. We made our wooden egg ornaments using our xTool M1 Ultra 4-in-1 craft machine, and they turned out egg-stra cute!

Whether you’re decorating a seasonal tree like we do, hanging them around the house, or even tucking one or two into Easter baskets, these ornaments are a fun, customizable craft that the whole family can enjoy.
Supplies We Used:
- xTool M1 Ultra 4-in-1 Craft Machine
- Free egg-shaped template from the xTool DesignFind store
- xTool Creative Space (XCS) software
- 1/8″ (3mm) basswood
- Acrylic paints (white for base coat + bright spring colors)
- Paintbrushes or sponge brushes
- Ribbon or string for hanging
- Seasonal tree (optional but totally fun!)

How We Made Them:
- Find and Prep the Design
I browsed the DesignFind store inside xTool Creative Space and found a free egg-shaped template that I loved. I opened the design in XCS and added a small circle near the top of each egg shape so we could thread ribbon through later. - Cut the Eggs
Using 1/8″ (3mm) basswood, I sent the design to my xTool M1 Ultra and let it work its magic. It cut each egg shape quickly and cleanly – I just love how precise this machine is! - Paint Time!
Each egg got a base coat of white acrylic paint. Once that dried, we broke out our favorite bright and cheerful colors to create different designs on each egg. Stripes, polka dots, zig-zags, sponge painting – anything goes! - Dry and Add Ribbon
We let the painted eggs dry completely before threading a piece of ribbon through each hole. A quick knot and they were ready to hang. - Decorate Your Space
We hung our eggs on our seasonal tree, and they look SO festive! You could also hang them from windowsills, on garland, or anywhere you want to add a pop of Easter fun.

Wrapping Up
This Easter egg craft is a super simple and eye-appealing project with endless customization potential. You can stick with traditional Easter pastels or go bold and bright. You could even personalize each egg with names or dates for keepsakes!
We had such a blast using our xTool M1 Ultra for this project – it’s definitely becoming our go-to machine for holiday crafting. If you’re looking for a quick and fun way to decorate for Easter, give these wooden egg ornaments a try!
