Cyber Monday: Is It Worth It?

Let’s be real, shall we? These days, it’s so hard to figure out what is ACTUALLY a big deal because social media and news stations love to hype even the most mundane of happenings. I’ll never forget the first Amazon Prime Day. The hype was absolutely OUTRAGEOUS. It was everywhere. People were excited. The day came and while Amazon DID have a bunch of good sales that day, they were very hard to find. There was no organized landing page directing consumers to the deal highlights. Instead you had to really dig around on the site and viral memes were created instantly when items like a 55 gallon barrel of lube went on lightning deal (really).

So IS Cyber Monday worth it? ARE there decent deals or is this just another hype to get you online and spending money on stupid crap you never would have bought in the first place?

If tomorrow is anything like the last couple Cyber Mondays, I will tell you that in my most deal savvy opinion, YES, CYBER MONDAY IS WORTH IT.

There are a few reasons why you should make plans to scope out some online deals tomorrow:

1. Every year more and more retailers jump on board to offer one-day-only specials. This means better variety to shop from and more competitive prices as stores try to out-do each other.

2. Free shipping offers are all over the place – even stores that typically don’t offer free shipping sometimes jump on board with a free shipping offer.

3. Grab some of the best deals on Amazon Devices that we see all year

4. Save your sanity, personal safety and energy. Let your fingers do the walking from store to store and leave the hassle of traffic, fighting for a parking spot and waiting in long lines in the rearview mirror. This not only saves your sanity, but your time has (lots of) value too!

5. The savings rival any in-store special and it’s very possible that you could wrap up your shopping without every leaving your bed.
