A few years ago I discovered the easiest, most simple way to keep my iced coffee (which I happen to live on during the Summer months) from getting watered down due to melting ice. The trick? COFFEE ICE CUBES. I was making up a batch of them today and finally remembered to take some pictures so that I could write a post!
Using coffee ice cubes not only keeps your iced coffee from becoming watered down, it gives the coffee a stronger taste until the very last drop.
Pour coffee in an ice cube tray and place in the freezer until entirely frozen.
After the ice cubes are frozen, you can leave them in the tray until you use them (or store them in an air tight bag or container). I usually pop the cubes out of the tray and keep them in a gallon Ziploc bag.
Enjoy these coffee ice cubes in your iced coffee! No need to gulp your coffee down before it turns to watery coffee. Sip and savor!
