We made this colorful dessert today, just on a whim for something different. The fun secret behind this recipe is that I used a box mix for the brownies. Then I added some embellishments to give them a nice seasonal appearance.
We picked up this box of Cookie Brownie mix at ALDI.
This mix is incredibly simple. The directions are on the box, but simply put, you mix up the brownie batter and spread it in a greased pan. Then you mix up the cookie batter and drop it by spoonfuls on top of the brownie batter.
I topped each chunk of cookie batter with some M&Ms Strawberry candies, then baked them for 40 minutes at 325 F.
I popped the brownies out of the pan and put them on a cutting board. I cut them up into squares and then heated up some pink chocolate melting wafers in the microwave. I drizzled the pink chocolate over the cookie brownies and the end result was so pretty!
