Silhouette Portrait Project
It’s officially official: I love my Silhouette Portrait! It has upped my crafty game and my mind is swimming with possibilities.
We bought a few clear tumblers from Dollar Tree last week and I have been thinking of how to decorate them. Then a couple nights ago I got the idea to make cups for our upcoming Disney Trip. After relatively little effort, and maybe 30 minutes of design time and application time, I was so incredibly excited with my results. I made tumbler for Lily to use on our trip – a tumbler that I could very easily see myself paying $10-$15ish for on Etsy before getting this machine. And as Bob pointed out, should anything happen to it on our trip, we’re only out $1 and I can make a new one when we get home if need be.
I put the castle on the front and her name with Minnie Mouse on the back. I wasn’t brave enough (yet!) to try subtracting layers, so my bow sits on Minnie’s head. I’m so thrilled with how it turned out!
Here’s a little vid that I made in Instagram as I put this together:
My first official silhouette project for the fam!!! OMG you guys!!!! I would have paid $10-$15 easily for this tumbler for Lily for our Disney trip… Instead after about 25 minutes of work and $1 for this clear tumbler from Dollar Tree and voila!! I am SO EXCITED!!! Who knew vinyl could be this invigorating?!?!
Next up, tumbler for Landon! Look for that one in the next few days!
