By now you have probably read about our ugly day of shopping yesterday. I still wanted to write my usual CVS recap post because despite the annoyance with our gift card not scanning, we still got some great deals.
This was our first time taking advantage of the CVS free gas gift card offer – pretty neat! I think I am going to start stockpiling these as I get them – since there always seems to be a road trip on our horizon.
Here is the CVS coupon policy. I suggest printing this policy and taking it to the store with you!
:: What’s the point of this? Each week we head to CVS to spend as LITTLE money out of pocket as possible- while generating as many ECBs that we can! Read my CVS 101 post to learn all about CVS and Extra Care Bucks.

Total value of purchases: $1472.71
Total out-of-pocket that we have paid: $57.21
Total ECBs generated: $502.96
Total value to out of pocket savings ratio: 96%
Nice job, I went to mine today too, I got the free carmello and band-aid coupons, but not the panty liners. But, I also got a second free body wash coupon today, and for what ever reason, it rang up as a $3 coupon for a $2.24 product, and I had 2 of the $1.50 off 2 johnson&Johnson products, so I got the .99 first aid kits (4) for a total of .36 out of pocket!
Oh, perfect! I love those little first aid kids. I add travel Tylenol, etc and throw them all over the place!
can i ask where in the store you found the gatorade?
